February 2023 Donation Drive
Soccer is a sport that can be played by anyone, anywhere, at any time. It is a sport that is the national backbone of some countries and a new experience in others. As the game grows so does the need for equipment. Sometimes it is the littlest thing that can make all the difference. That is why Sporting Nebraska FC is partnering with Football for the World Foundation and The Sports Bra Project to bring the game global.
For the month of February, Sporting Nebraska FC will host a donation drive. All items collected will be displayed at the Omaha Sports Complex in our Reach the Roof bin! At the end of the month the donations will be distributed to our partners at FFTW and TSBP and from there, sent to players locally, nationally, and internationally! Let’s do our part to support the growth of the game we love!

Football for the World Foundation:
Mission: improving children’s quality of life through the game of football.
The FFTW Foundation bases itself solely in the heart of football. Our mission is to provide children all over the world the chance to play the beautiful game. We believe that all children have the right to proper equipment, including boots, soccer balls, socks, jerseys, shorts, and shin pads. FFTW hopes to inspire all youth through the World’s Game. Football boots and balls are the two most requested items for FFTW's partner programs, locally and worldwide. Acceptable donations include boots, balls, jerseys, shorts, socks, scrimmage pinnies, cones, nets, goalkeeper jerseys, goalkeeper gloves, and other soccer-related gear.
"Football for the World works with schools, sports clubs, community groups, individuals and corporations to help improve the quality of life of children through the game of football (soccer). Using the game as a tool, FFTW is able to equip, educate, empower and excel children on and off the field."

Football for the World collects and redistributes new and gently used soccer gear for programs locally and around the world.
Football for the World Foundation is registered under the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporation Act., registered as an official 501(c)(3) organization in the United States.

Mission: Increase access to sports for women & girls by removing barriers to participation.
TSBP provides new sports bras to girls & women in areas where the lack of access to this basic piece of equipment can prevent participation in sports. While the barriers to sports participation are varied, they often include a combination of cultural, economic and logistical concerns. By partnering with organizations operating in areas where access is limited by one or all of these factors, TSBP is able to support their work and utilize the organizations local knowledge and networks to provide sports bras to aspiring athletes who may not otherwise be able to participate. Thanks to a growing network of individuals and organizations working to remove barriers to participation and increase access to sports, more than 4,000 bras have been collected & distributed to organizations working in 31 different countries.
The Sports Bra Project (TSBP) is a US based 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to supporting access and athletes in all sports.
