Staff Coach Commitment

  • The position is part time, 4 - 6 hours per week for Academy and 6 - 8 hours per week for Competitive/ECNL

  • Must be available 2-3 evenings per week (after 5:00pm) on Mon-Thu evenings, with availability on weekends for games & travel

  • Spring season runs April- June/Fall runs August - November?Winter runs December - March - this is a 10 month position

  • Must be able to travel to Omaha, NE and/or Lincoln, NE for training sessions

  • Teams play in 1-2 leagues and 2-3 tournaments each fall and spring season, you must be willing to travel with them

  • Must be willing to attain a online Grassroots coaching license if not already held (will be paid for by club)

Desired Experience/Qualities

  • Experience working with children of varied ages in a sporting, teaching or community environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with parent group and directors on team schedule and team organization

  • Enthusiastic personality with ability to create a positive and fun environment for the players

  • Prior soccer coaching or playing experience preferred

  • Willingness to learn and attend coach education sessions as needed
