SPORTING OMAHA FOOTBALL CLUB ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP TO EXPAND OFFERINGS TO YOUTH SOCCER
MD West ONE Orthopedic, Neurosurgery & Spine Sponsors Omaha Youth Soccer League to Expand Financial Aid, Scholarships and Coaching Education
(Omaha, NE) May 14, 2019 - Sporting Omaha FC announces their partnership with MD West ONE as the official team sponsor for the new season beginning in July 2019. The sponsorship benefits the organization by expanding financial aid, scholarships and coaching education to youth in Omaha who wish to participate in the league.
Executive Director of Sporting OFC, Tim Bennett, explains, “This is a monumental time for the Omaha Soccer community! After the recent announcement of Omaha’s new professional soccer team coming to Werner Park in 2020, we’re excited to expand our offerings to the youth soccer players here in Omaha. There’s no better time to engage children and families in soccer, and we’re grateful to partner with MD West ONE to be able to do so.”
Sporting Omaha FC is a non-profit full service youth soccer club that offers all levels of play from 4 to 19 years of age. “We’re excited to partner with an organization that works so hard to develop these young athletes and instill traits in them to reach their fullest potential. As a mother to a child participating in this league, I especially see the growth they experience on and off the field. It’s what makes supporting this club through my work so much more fulfilling,” said Dr. Kathleen Grier , a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon at MD West ONE.
MD West ONE provides orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine care throughout the Greater Omaha Metro Area, Southwestern Iowa and Eastern Nebraska. Dr. T. Kevin O’Malley , sports medicine and knee specialist at MD West ONE and current team physician for Creighton Men’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball said, “Our team of orthopedic specialists are unique because we offer sub-specialized care, meaning we focus our entire practice on one area of the body. We have specialists in sports medicine, foot and ankle, and we cover everything musculoskeletal to nervous system from head-to-toe.”
