Coach of the Month - September



Each month the directors name two coaches that represent Sporting Nebraska FC values and commitment to our players. Congratulations to the September winners: Matt and Antonio.


Girls COM September - Matt Bragg

Sporting Nebraska FC is proud to announce Matt Bragg as the September Coach of the Month, Matt has been with the club for ten year as Girls Academy director, during this time he has been instrumental in the success of the girls program, on a daily bases Coach Matt builds training sessions and guides his staff with a seasonal curriculum, Coach Matt is always present being the go to person for players and parents, We hope Coach Matt can enjoy the success of the club knowing he has built a strong Foundation. As a Queen Park Rangers fan Matt does not enjoy too many wins, so any win within the Academy is greatly celebrated, a great Person, Director and Friend. - Alex Mason & Luke Baxter, Girls' Directors of Coaching


Boys COM September - Antonio Gonzalez

Coach Antonio has been an asset on the Sporting Nebraska FC coaching staff for seven years. Antonio began his coaching experience in our Youth Program not only coaching u6 and u7 players but also assisting Christina Lewis with the Youth Program administration. He currently coaches in our Competitive Program as head coach of the 2010 Boys’ Navy team. Antonio’s background in education is evident by his patient and deliberate approach when engaging players and his keen eye to meeting individual player needs. He openly endorses the club expectation of Player Promotion by proactively seeking appropriate opportunities for players in a constant effort to get the best out of each one.
