Coach of the Month - August

Each month the directors name two coaches that represent Sporting Nebraska FC values and commitment to our players. Congratulations to the August winners: Ben and Caleb!

"I am excited to announce the August coach of the month, Ben Liesveld. Ben has been with the club for three years. During his time Ben has coached multiple players through TPD, camps, technical development nights, UWS, and as a team coach. His outreach throughout the girls’ program has been very positive. Ben has a love for the game and shares this with our players. As a director, it is exciting to watching Ben grow as a coach in his understanding and knowledge of soccer. He is a true student of the game. As a Liverpool fan though, Ben still has time to grow!

In addition to Ben’s coaching position, he also shares the management responsibilities of our outdoor fields. This endless demand keeps Ben fully engaged with all areas of the club. Well done." - Alex Mason

"Coach Caleb has been with Sporting Nebraska for the last four years. Prior to joining the club, he spent time coaching in the college ranks; most recently as an assistant on the Iowa Western men’s staff. Caleb’s role with the club is primarily with the older boys, having coached both NPL and ECNL teams. In addition to his keen eye toward player development and his high-level training acumen, Caleb has extensive knowledge in the area of college recruiting. He understands the unique path that each player takes in their soccer journey, and he excels at meeting those individual needs. Sporting Nebraska thanks Caleb for his time and talent and greatly appreciates his commitment to improve our players, teams, and programs." - Ryan Kruse
